Not at all. Sessions are fully guided, and your vote is based on what you enjoy — not technical knowledge. If you can taste the difference, you can vote.
-
Bartholomew Winery is the licensed Seller of Record for all alcohol sales — this is a legal compliance requirement, not a convenience choice. CoVintner handles the experience and co-creation platform; the winery handles the wine transaction. The two purchases are separate by design. Bartholomew provides a URL to you that is unique to CoVintner and your tier level. He is offering a split payment structure if you desire: 50% deposit is due within 10 days to verify your allocation, and the remaining 50% is collected at pickup during the Release Party. You just need to provide the a special code at checkout that we will give you once your CoVintner membership is confirmed.
-
No. Votes are cast in-person during your blending session. Proxy requests must be approved at least 7 days before the final Cut-off date before bottling (May 2).
-
Your CoVintner registration will be cancelled and your CoVintner fee will be refunded automatically. The 10-day window applies to your 50% wine deposit only — the remaining 50% isn't due until pickup. Note: the CoVintner fee is only refundable within 24 hours of purchase (and only if no benefits have been used). After 24 hours, it is non-refundable except where required by law. Reach out before the deadline if you need help.
-
Yes — you're welcome to bring a +1 to both your blending session and the Release Party. Your guest will be there to enjoy the experience alongside you (if they are 21+), but please note that each voting seat requires its own CoVintner registration and wine allocation purchase. If your guest wants to cast their own vote and receive their own personalized label, they'll need to register separately.
-
Contact us as soon as possible. We'll do our best to move you to another available slot before the final session date. If no slots remain, proxy attendance requires advance approval — submitted at least 3 days before May 2. Reach out early and we'll work with you.
-
Your wine is released at the Release Party (we’re currently planning for ~July 25) — that's your first chance to pick up your allocation and taste the final wine with the community that helped make it. If pickup at the event isn't possible, shipping may be available depending on your state's direct-to-consumer wine shipping laws and Bartholomew Winery’s policy. You'll indicate your preference during the scheduling intake.
Limited founding seats.
This is Barrel 1 with Bartholomew Winery—the first blend CoVintner has ever made. There will be others, but there’s only ever one first.
